2018 k2 Luv Sick 80 Ti Ski

The K2 Luv Sick 80Ti is like an extra shot of power with your morning coffee. A slimmed version of the OoolaLuv, this Channel Light Core with women’s-specific Bioflex tech – the perfect combination of lively aspen and flexible paulownia – elevates the Luv Sick’s agility, whether crushing through crud on the upper mountain or carving fresh cord. A full metal laminate dampens performance to improve accuracy, and extended tip rise provides this ski with even greater versatility, come hell or high water.

Product Description

TECHNOLOGY

  • Bioflex cores

    BIOFLEX CORES

K2’s women’s skis use cores that feature a combination of Aspen, Paulownia, and Bamboo. BioFlex cores are comprised of strong Aspen wood underfoot, which is fused with lightweight Paulownia in the tip and tail using a specific interlocking pattern that reduces swing-weight and provides a smooth-flexing ski.

  • Channel light core

    CHANNEL LIGHT CORE

Channels are grooved through the length of the ski to remove unwanted materials for a smoother flex, added ease and better control. Staying true to a women’s specific approach, the Bioflex core and metal laminate are focused more strongly on the perimeter of the skis to maintain power, strength and stability.

  • Metal laminate

    METAL LAMINATE

Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and titanal above and below the core. Metal Laminates provide damp, accurate, unshakable performance, ideal for expert and advanced level skiers.

  • Hybritech sidewall

    HYBRITECH SIDEWALL

Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.

  • Triaxial braid

    TRIAXIAL BRAID

The patented Triaxial Braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled core, resulting in great torsional strength while retaining the lively flex patterns inherent in a wood core ski.

  • K2 marker erc system

    K2/MARKER ERC SYSTEM

The K2/Marker women’s-specific ERC (Energy Response Contact) binding system is our widest ski binding system, with a 54% wider attachment. Thanks to zinc feet that extend toward the edges of the ski, the ERC system delivers greater precision and control on the wider-waisted Super skis. In addition to being wider, the binding stand height has been reduced by 12%, adding almost 10% in weight savings.
