Meet our newest super coach Johnny Lipzker
Johnny Lipzker
Johnny is one of the most progressive and unique skiers in Australia. Armada Skis Australia (Matty Mad Dog Hampton) took Johnny under his/their wing from a young age and Johnny hasn’t looked back.
Johnny later teamed up with Australian skiing Godfathers Nick Cleaver and Mitch Smith at the early stages of their brain child program – Falls Creeks Air and Style. Under the guidance of Nick and Mitch, Johnny progressed as a student and went on to become head freeski coach for three years.
Johnny’s competitions history spans across two decade including winning the Thredbo Freeride series, being voted best skier by his peers at the One Hit Wonder. He took second place at the Rip Curl Pro and is two time gold medalist at Planet Winter X.
Johnny has since moved his focus into coaching and has taking the position of Freeski coach at Mt Buller’s successful Team Buller Riders program (TBR)
Skiers Junction is stoked to have Johnny as part of the SJ family!
Sponsors: Armada, Full Tilt, Sontimer, Marker.
Breckenridge Grand Prix
Breckenridge Grand Prix has been taking place over the past few day. The worlds best Slopestyle and Halfpipe skiers have turned out for one of the last stops before the Olympics. Slopestyle skiing will be shown off on the world for the first time at the Sochi Olympics next month. Exciting times for everyone involved.

Video Analysis and the Rec. Centre
Video analysis and the Rec. centre are daily activities. Training in the high altitude is excellent for fitness and sets the SJ participants up in great condition both now and especially once we get home and hit sea level again.
Common Rec. Centre activities include Squash, B’Ball, Swimming, Spin (fitness bikes), light weight training, ropes courses and beep testing.
A favourite is “Alpine ab’s created by SJ coaches Watkin and Jono, it is a intense 20 minute abdominal endurance work out focusing on the importance of core strength when skiing.
